i had to warm up to the s5 but now the grips feel real good, reminds me of some old kitchen knives from my cook days except much much higher quality. i still need to get one with the other handle style though... lol. now im up to 2 scrap yard knives but both with the muddy handles.

For the size of the s5, I haven't felt another handle that's anywhere close to the comfort or functionality.

Now when you get into chopper territory, the larger res-c handles are sure nice. I think you need to get you a SoD next <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />


The micarta/g10 handles on Busse and Swamprat knives are more durable than res-c, but not as comfortable. I wish I could get an ergo Battle Mistress blade fitted with a res-c handle.

MM, that Ergo with a Res-C does sound interesting.

ill keep my eyes open once my funds runnith over agian.... man i saw a ratchet the other day and its on my want list too now.... but yea i spent money and picked up some kitchen knives so it might be a little while till i get around to picking up to many blades. maybe by the next time theres another offering hehehe cant wait.

Im hating that i passed on the muk with sheath on bf. Timing just sucked... Don't think I'm going to pass the next time though. The muk has moved very high on my favorites list. I definitely want a second one.

There have been some amazing deals on muks lately. I am really glad I bought the one Clint was selling - I love that blade a lot.

Kicking myself now like I was then... If It was still up when I got home I think I would have to snag it. I want the maxped Sitka and should get that right now if I spend that much on something other than my bills.

yea ill be in the market for a muk soon, just seams like a goodknife.

A Muk would be cool but a Dogfather in SR101 would suffice.
