i'd steer clear of the D-1x1 models. I use the line out and a headphone amp. i like the panasonics too but my favorite headphone out is the aiwa. been listening to aiwa players my whole life so i'm probably biased.

Yeah, I will most likely end up with both, but I think I want the equations more, just coz they looks larger. I like the around the ear style.

i was talkin to lazi about it earlier today or yesterday. i told him to take his time but think he's gettin on it soon.

the ES7 can get painful after a while. they just happen to look gorgeous and have a short thin cable so you can use portably. still not my first recommendation in a portable headphone, though.

I'm looking for headphone that are comfy and won't leave my desk. I'll prolly start with the Rp21's.

i was at the music dealer playin some guitars and i saw DJ gear near the guitar amps. there were a pair of denon cd players on display that caught my interest.

denon makes some really nice stuff. pricey but it's pro gear.

i think any players i get in the future will have to be able to play pcm wave files. at least 24/192.... i haven't seen enough to make me think that making sacd's is any easier than just playing the wave from your computer.
