Ah. Wait, you were camping in the Mojave at this time of year!?! Yes. I actually camped there thinking that there would be few others around, because they would be unable to handle the heat. (There were, indeed, few who were crazy enough to camp, there.) It turned out that the weather was about 20-25 degrees cooler than normal, and I was quite comfortable.

Ha! That's true, it's been a good August.
The humidity isn't even as bad as it normally is.
What were the temps, low 100's?

I'm processing pictures, right now, from a day of shooting butterflies. Butterflies have extraordinary faces. I'm now thinking I might need to do a series of butterfly close up face portraits.

The temps were in the low 90s when I arrived, got all the way down into the 60s overnight, and weren't yet 85 when I left in the morning.
