Hope all the dogs are having a good weekend. I was visiting family for a wedding recently, and I dug out some old knives from my teenage years, that were stored away in a closet at my parents' place. Amongst all the cheap fantasy knives and $5 machetes, I found two Gil Hibben fantasy knives. Not exactly user grade steel, but I think I might at least be able to get a few bucks for them on the exchange. I only brought carry-on luggage this time, but the next time I've got some bags to check, or am driving up, I'll have to grab those things. I definitely don't have any actual reason to hang onto that goofy fantasy crap, so might as well make 6 or 7 bucks. Edit: Found some pictures of these United Cutlery POS's on Gil's very own website. It's a shame such an accomplished knifemaker has his name attached to 420J2 fantasy knives. I guess they ARE aesthetically pleasing designs, and that's all they are intended to be, but they're still pretty goofy. ![[Linked Image from hibbenknives.com]](http://www.hibbenknives.com/images/ProductionKnives/Fantasy/SilverShadow2.jpg) ![[Linked Image from hibbenknives.com]](http://www.hibbenknives.com/images/ProductionKnives/Fantasy/Highlander.jpg)

I think you're right, it just looked a little long for an RMD. Check out this PSK I'm putting together for my brother-in-law... VERY NICE!!!!!! Thanks, I did a full pictorial over in the "Outdoor" section. My wife's sister took some amazing pictures of everything.

sigh. anyone up?
i'm bummed about sorting through the knives to sell. looks like the mighty cherokee rose and my first infi crush, the hell razor, will be leaving. recon scout and my 3v koster kit knife may go. never used my 1095 koster nessy, nor am i attached to it, but i feel like i shouldn't let that one go. undecided on the sarQ. the skinny ASH is too beautiful. I need to do a shootout between the 7"ers and my gransfors mini. if the mini wins, the 7"ers all go. keepin the gransfors if it loses, though. just too cool and unique.
the khuks and 9"+ clan bowies stay.

You need to keep at least one 7" knife. For me, the 7" is the smallest "chop capable" knife that is still small enough to carry.

I spent the day with an angle grinder, trying to remove twenty years worth of latex paint from my back patio so I can give it a nice epoxy coating. I should have just rented a media blaster and been done with it.

You need to keep at least one 7" knife. For me, the 7" is the smallest "chop capable" knife that is still small enough to carry. guessing the long hunter doesn't count. i'd probably keep the recon scout for that role, seeing as it included a sheath, rubber grip, and will pull in the least dough.

my second waki made it in yesterday and now i can't decide which one is the user. they are just different enough to make me think. the main difference is that one is slightly thicker. i wanted to use my muddy/black g10 one but i like the looks of it a little more. plus it's the thinner slightly faster feeling waki. the other is more of a brute with a thicker blade and tip.
