That course out in Monterey is tough. The Army teaches all branches there. My daughter wants to be a linguist because she has a gift for languages. The idea of paid travel and education while doing what she loves and does best would be a dream come true for her, whether Army or Air Force. I appreciate all the prayers. Today is the day. With all these petitions on her behalf to the Almighty, that dream can happen. Thanks all.

Bonnie did not pass the Defense Language Aptitude Battery. She can retest later. So she does not qualify for the Airborne Cryptologic Linguist specialty, but she does qualify for her second choice, Airborne Battle Management Systems. We will see what she gets. I'm still proud of her, and she is still in good spirits. We both appreciate the prayers of the yard. I wanted to be a helicopter pilot and wound up a tanker. I still got to blow the heck out of things with my five M-60A1 tanks and shoot a lot of ammo at taxpayer expense! Bonnie is excited about all her remaining choices, and she WILL get one of them. Good for her for going for it. I hope she keeps up with her interest in languages. Figure she doesn't need to be a linguist to study them hard and take some different courses.

Learning Spanish was one of the better things I've done and I wish I had the time to get going on French.
