You ever had custom Kitchen knives made S.B. ?? I have only ever done one for kitchen purpose, but Butch over at Blade forums does some really nice work with excellent materials.

yea i been looking at butchs , the only custom built one i have is a little fat bladed parring knife ..... normaly i pick up hand made knives and other stuff , i feel the quality differnce... i think the the passion that and im a craftmen myself... so i understand...
lately i been picking up the shun onion series , they are by far the most amazing kitchen knives i have and that includes several henkles and shun , and other larger scale makers..... there comfy tough , sharp as a laser.... and i been getting a deal on em....

normaly a stainless for the ones i use .... differnt veries mind you....
every thing from cutco-shun is normaly a type of stainless ... i have some old hickorys outta HC... but there are very few of those i keep around any more , mainly cause they work well and cheap ... i still use some OH knives still that have probably been in my family for 50-30 years and show there age....
