i used to live in santa cruz for awhile and this guy i knew blew glass for a local smokeshop. Right before i moved back to utah he invited me into his shop and started to show me a little bit about it...it looks like alot of fun,but he told me the air in ther gets pretty toxic as your working and you definately got to know what your doing

..... well you need some ventlation like any thing where your burning fuel..... most injurys are from passing out from carbon monxide or is it dioxide.... theres a lotta people who dont run proper vent ... and it will mess ya up once you mix in metals being vaporized including gold and silver... and several other not so nice metals ... but honestly with clear glass .... its pretty safe.... thats why it was close to 2gs to start , with vent , eye ware , and kiln/torch/tools it adds up quick

yep 2 d on sheets , i have seen 3 axis and 4 axis ones where you can replace tools with stuff like lasers , routers , drills , etc.... and you can do 3d but that also increses the cost and complexty.... you can also put roller knives in and cut vynil signs and stuff .... and templates....

yea the same idea behind the candy fab has been applyed to concrete apparently i saw a few pictures ... once the foundation was set ... the structure was basicly printed in place with the machine making foam walls then filling the block spaces....
most of these guys are building the future of machines and manufacturing.... cnc is fun if you wanna computer geek around.....

yea the computer geek was another issue with that cnc idea. It was a good thought, but it was pricey and neither one of have the education to run and write machine or write the programs
