its ok honestly.... there are far better 17hmrs , but outta the box for teh cost the savage is hands down my fav. slap a sweet 17 scope on it for 80 bucks , and a bipod/sling , and you can take most any thing down , and it shoots pretty dang flat , i got a few tree rats at 300 yards... and my brother and me were hitting nickles and dimes at 150 yards..... and its about as loud as a 22lr....
