MY favorite gun brand is Colt! They are local too so I have to support them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />.

I love my Sig and Kimbers. But the Kimbers have gotten so expensive, they were local at one time.

If I remember right Kimber is made in NY now but I could be wrong. SIGs are nice too.

They were made in both New York and Oregon but I'm not sure if they have ties here anymore.

since were on the firearms subject...

I got really pissed off yesterday when i called my local gunshop... im not yet 21 but i will be in march and im just shopping around, looking at different pistols so when the time comes, i already know exactly what i want and i dont waste any time. So i call them asking if they had the FNP 9 in stock and he said yea, so i asked him if i went into the store if i would be able to actually handle the pistol in hand although i wasnt 21 yet.

The guy just started laughing at me on the phone.
he said i could look but not touch, then hung up on me.

Seriously? You could be a little more professional than that. It really pisses me off when older people belittle me just because of my age. That was the response of a little kid. idk it really rubbed me the wrong way, and the worst part is that they have the best prices in the area so im kinda stuck going to them when the time rolls around.

what do you guys think?

P.S I'm looking at the sig P250 and the FNP-9m (compact) does anyone have any experience with them at all? good, bad or ugly?

i know a few with the FNP-9m and love it ... i havnt really given it a go... i do like the cz that are comming out and other cz guns...

sig makes a pretty quality pistol for sure , and FN has great CS im told...

But yea rule 1 ... dont tell em your age.... it doesnt matter. 2 most gun shops see you worried and there in a gray area , they would rather error on the side of caustion ... his response... is childish and it sucks . but man when i was behind the counter you get all sorts of weird questions all day every day...and weird people. also they could just be not that great of a place and the cheap prices make up for it. we got a shop like that here....

i just go to gun shows and feel up all those models then go pick it up if i know some place is cheaper.... its been the best option for me. .. i wanted a glock for my first pistol... after trying every model i could find i figured out glocks arnt built for me... the xd fit me better... and even that i must have the walters pps i now have...

I love my SIG228 but the 250 looks interesting.

Sucks about the gun shop, I'm sure they don't want kids coming in handling guns just to handle them, but they could have been more professional. I don't know what the laws are for people under 21 handling guns in a shop.

I'm a FNH fan and will probably pick up the FNP9 later on. I currently own a FNP45 and a Five Seven. Both are very impressive so far. I did buy a FNP40 but took it back to upgrade to the 45. They didn't have on and during my wait I bought the Five Seven. I made a good choice.

I just saw a nutnfancy update and he speaks very highly of the FNP9. If I ever get a CCW I think I would go with the FNP9.
