Yup... I forgot to save a link to the other one. I just email this one to myself.

I got invited to a memebership only range and hopefully that will come up soon. I'm itching smell gun powder so it may go sooner.

i like those combos but not for what people are asking for them at the moment...

i been looking at combos from savage lately ... but its hard to pick a good pair... im thinking 17hmr or 22lr and 12 gauge ... if we had more large game or if i hunted turkey i would probably go with 223 or something or 308.. and in those rounds mainly because i already have those rounds on hand....

Yeah I bought that M6 years ago for next to nothing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />, then found out recently what they are going for! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Those sound like good choices.

I was thinking 223 for a while but i was told that there is enough variety in 308 loads that I should be covered for most things. The Remington 700 VTR seems Like it should have me covered.

If I catch a good sale and have money to burn I will probably snag a Savage .17 one day.

I don't have my S5cg here with me, but is the S5LE heavier?

.... i stock piled a bit of ammo a while ago .... so buying a new gun makes me think that it will cost me around 500 bucks atleast for ammo... not to even think about any thing else...

i do have 2 308s .... the 700 vtr and a cheap cetme i did a lot of finish work on.... she shoots good and has some HK hardware that makes it just a fun heavy gun to shoot.... but i still love my 223... i like it so much i might go to the 5.7 for more carbine like fun....

I got ride of my 223 awhile ago to but a car. I regret it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

My 700 sendero in 338RUM had become too much gun for me so I traded that off. I need a 308 or 30-06.

I don't have a small scale but the CG S5 and the LE S5 almost feel the same in hand.
