from wiki......

Alloys
Cobalt-based superalloys consume most of the produced cobalt. The temperature stability of these alloys makes them suitable for use in turbine blades for gas turbines and jet aircraft engines, though nickel-based single crystal alloys surpass them in this regard. Cobalt-based alloys are also corrosion and wear-resistant.[19] Special cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys are used for prosthetic parts such as hip and knee replacements.[20] Cobalt alloys are also used for dental prosthetics, where they are useful to avoid allergies to nickel.[21] Some high speed steels also use cobalt to increase heat and wear-resistance. The special alloys of aluminium, nickel, cobalt and iron, known as Alnico, and of samarium and cobalt (samarium-cobalt magnet) are used in permanent magnets.[22]

yea the more i read up on the alloy used the less likely i am about being able to change it much with out a blast furnace.... jeez man i knew this was tough stuff i just didnt realize how tough.... apparently one of the only ways to really work it is to pour it then use grinder and cutting media....

SB, I was trying to figure out what that was and I am glad you told us. I understand the want to keep it, but what can it be turned in to? How about a hat or coat peg, a custom punch, a push dagger of some sort?
