I have been interested in medicine for a long time and almost signed as a medic. So as i was thinking about what to study when i get out, nursing was a thought but i wasn't as interested in being a regular floor nurse. I started looking into masters level nursing positions and this one kind of resonated. Its a good high paying job that id enjoy and id be doing a lot of the work of a doc without the huge school time and expense.

I would look into the anesthesia nurse thing a bit more... from what I remember when my fiance was looking into it a few years ago, most master's programs require several years of critical care experience before they'll admit you.
Also, the N.A. pay scale was grossly inflated over other nurses a few years ago. That's starting to even out - there was a huge surge of people going into N.A. school when they found out how much it paid, and there is more competition for the available jobs now, driving pay rates down. The days of $130k straight out of a master's program are likely to be long gone soon.

Thanks MM, ill look into that a bit. I know that most all masters level nursing positions pay well so thats not an issue. The experience portion however... i appreciate the heads up.
