well, i have two thoughts in response to that.
one, if he's not deterred, i'm glad i still have a shotgun.
two, if deterrent is your primary objective, i'd rather have a pistol, even small caliber, with a laser aiming module. that red dot on your chest has got to be terrifying, no matter the caliber.
still, refer to part one. maybe a shotgun with a loud action and a laser (just for intimidation) would be the best option. Exactly. We live in a very safe neighborhood. But I know anything could happen and it's best to be prepared and educated. Problem is they may hear the rack, then automatically shoot. Not sure what I would do to be honest. I've heard others debate the issue and I really don't know what I would do

would it be foolish to make the .45 blackhawk one's all purpose gun? excluding ccw.
