I need to get a nice strop I think. When I get back to my regular time consuming stuff I may setup a area to sharpen. I may even grab a belt sander.

My family owns and operates limestone quarries in NE Iowa. I do a little bit of everything, from operating heavy equipment, rock drilling, assisting with blasting, etc etc.

Im glad to help. I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going with this stuff myself but next year I'm thinking of going all in. I'm acutally planning to go setup my system this weekend. I'm just missing a new iMac at his point.

Actually, it has been decent. Infrastructure funding has thrown a lot of money at roads and road repair. Private sales has actually been fairly steady.
REALLY helps when diesel fuel is not $4 a gallon too.
Iowa is kind of insulated more so than the coasts.
