and what's your current amp? what needs correcting in that? not enough channels? not big enough? too big? too complicated?

No amp. I had an old gibson tube amp with 4 10" speakers.. it was pretty big. I forget the model, but I sold it for my first Busse...lol...

Then I had a little vox practice amp, but my brother took it back, because I asked him for my delay pedal back; and it WAS his amp after all....

.....i definitely woulda traded you for that. i don't even like gibson, for the most part, but i'd have done that.

was the vox a valvetronix?

Yeah, that Gibson amp was wicked... Can't tell you a thing about the vox. It was white and small.

I think I have a Vox tonelab around here too.. I love that thing.

i have been recommending vox valvetronix for years. you really nail the tube sound, without the maintenance. they stand up to band practice and i have two myself.

are you buying this yourself?

Man, my family stays busy, watches, guns, knives, and sports gear. It's amazing how much talent the Wilson's have. I'm proud to be one.

have you tried it? i own the original one. mine has the celestion (if you know what that is). they started using a proprietary vox speaker a couple years into production.

try that amp out, see how you like it. most of my songs were recorded on a valvetronix amp, so if any of the sounds i posted pleased you, you'll like the amp.

you gotta PM coming.

The sound you post is fantastic. I think that will be the ticket.

The small Roland amps are really popular right now. Even the old heads are liking them.

i have a micro cube. bought it a few months ago. if i could only have two amps, that would be the other one. (carvin legacy being the serious amp)

if i could only have one, it would be my valvetronix head over vintage 30's.

for anyone interested, Vintage30 is the Battle Mistress, the Corvette, the Submariner of guitar speakers.

they're built by Celestion. the only competition to the Vintage 30 is the Greenback, which is also built by Celestion.
