I have the 23" montior running off my old PowerBook. I still had to wipe a little drool when I saw the 27". And you can use the screen as a monitor for other stuff as well.

Okay I need to stay away from the Apple store and site for a while now...

I only use mine on our home wireless network.
It loads pages fine, but it does not dispaly full pages.
The battery last 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Sometimes it choppy with youtube and such.
We originally got it for my oldest daughter to keep track of e-mails and such at university.
For her it wasn't a great option so we got her a 10 inch screen netbook with a 1.6 gig processor running xp.

I have a dual core laptop with 15 inch screen, but I mostly use the netbook, because I tend to wander around the house while on the internet.

For travel the netbook is easier to go through airports then the laptop except I can't watch dvd's

My oldest loves her netbook

I think that is the one I bought my daughter except we bumped it up to 2 gig of ram

i haven't needed an optical drive from my last two laptops so the netbook thing was very natural for me.

using google chrome, you get good viewing area with XP.

I have not tried Google Chrome yet.

How does it compare to Firefox?

I don't mess wit my daughters aspire one, she likes it fine.
I've got an external dvd for the netbooks and have only used it to load programs such as office onto the aspire one.
My assus uses open office but I don't really use it.
I do have an 8 gig sd card which I use for music and other stuff

I don't think I'm goin to get another laptop unless it is constantly tied to the net. My phone seems to cover me for surfing and laptops have always let me down in one way or another. I've owned 7 ofthem and have never gotten the most out of any of them. Connectivity, RAM, slow video, external power supplies, etc. have all been problematic when using a laptop for what I do. I'm hoping to avoid all of this with a iMac.
