The largest blade in the arsenal right now is my Reg Bowie. A big chopper would be nice, but truthfully I always end up selling my FBMs. Perhaps I should order a good machete and a few more Moras.

A good machete even if it sits unused most of the time is cheap enough it wouldn't matter.

Really, I always have a folder, sigh, maybe I should have better folders.

The hand smoothed micarta feels so nice in hand too. It's a beauty of a knife.

I can't wait to get out on a weekend and beat the heck out of it.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> so youre out on the next release?! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

do we know what it is yet?

i actually skip most scrappers. DFLE and MPLE are my favorite purchases, kirk gave me an S5, i traded my sterile CGDF for a user battle rat, and my original d-mutt is just waiting for the right buyer.

I have a few decent fixed blades I use for hunting. Thing is butchers and taxidermist just use good but cheap knives and they work great.

Maybe that is what I should switch to? Its kinda like Moras, are the other bushcraft blades any better? I've got several, but really, are they much better?

I'm having a knife crisis.

You can't beat a Scrade Old Timer Sharpmaker 152 for hunting. Those used to sell for around $19.00, great for gutting and skinning deer.
