I hear you on all the bs and pc stuff, its really bad in the army, but I guess you get used to it, as the years go by it gets to me even more though...its not a bad paying job though, especially in todays economy

yeah, sometimes its really dead on here, especially in the morning, but at night its pretty lively

Yeah, wasn't all that bad pay wise toward the latter years. I could have stayed in longer myself, but I refused to stay another 3 years just to put on e-7 and have to go to their stupid I love the Air Force school. Don't get me wrong, I like the AF, I just wasn't in love with it. i did my 20 years but wasn't a lifer if you know what I mean.

I actually retired out of Pope AFB the next to Fort Bragg. Pretty country once you got away from the big cities and actually out into the countryside.

NC is a beautiful place

I thought about retiring from here at Fort Gordon, but I don't like the area...georgia is beautiful, but Augusta isn't that nice

I had a chance to retire at Pope and go to work at a computer store in Fayetteville running wire and building computers (they're a piece of cake once some shows you how, just plug everything into the right spot. Glad I didn't take their offer though, they went belly up about 3 months before I retired!
