I use the veritas green from lee valley. a fair amount of people use it on bf. was playing with a junk blade today, i'll post some pictures of the finished edge when I get a chance. It is a sharp mirror!

BTW, CO, I ordered some belts from them last night. Now I will be able to polish my edges to perfection. Thanks.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Ordered.

$8.50 + $7.50 shipping from Lee Valley.

Shipping... sheesh...

See, you should of ordered a bunch of other stuff like belts, sandpaper, the sharpening book, etc... That way the shipping seems cheaper!

Something like that! I prefer to take advantage of flat rate shipping.

Seems like that green stuff should last me a while though - I'm not too worried about it!

Do you guys nail your strop to a 2x4 or something?

I got one of the prefab strops from lee valley actually. I'd probably glue it instead of nailing it though.

You probably don't want any nails....especially if you strop while drinking beer

Good call!

I had thought about nailing the ends and than running some 100mph tape around it a few times over the nails to avoid any accidents!

Epoxy is your friend Dice. One of the three most important inventions:

1) Beer
2) WD-40
3) Epoxy
