At a pawn shop they had a used Leatherman Wave for 20.00. The thing is loose, when opened the blades flip down out of the handles. The blades have been sharpened a lot but I did notice that there were some funcky type of screws. Can they be tightened up? You should get it! They use security star bits, if you can find the right size you can tighten it. Or easier yet, send it to Leatherman! I hear they have great customer service, and even fix abused tools. I've read of several people that said instead of fixing theirs that was broke, they just sent them a brand new one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Man O man, the rain is playing havoc with the e911 system. condensation gets into the phone lines causing static which triggers the 911 system. BUT we have learned over the years (most of the time) when it's weather related. I hate to call out someone from home just for a bogus weather related call. We had a similar issue here a while back when I was still on dialup. I was having problems connecting because of the weather. I gave up and sat on the couch watching TV. I heard voices and a knock on the door. I thought it was a relative visiting that I really didn't want to talk to at the time, so I pretended like I wasn't home. I didn't know it, but I had left the door unlocked. It opened, then I saw a bright flashlight shine down the hall, and heard someone yell "Sheriff's department!". I jumped up and went to the hall, and he said they had a hangup 911 call from our house. I said no one was home but me, and explained I about the weather and trying to get online. He said "ok" and left. It kind of surprised me that he took my word for it. For all he knew I could have had someone tied up in the basement or something. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> It's a good thing he identified himself when he entered, as I was armed at the time and that could have turned real bad real quick for either one or both of us. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
