not much with pistol grip rifle and detachable magazine is legal.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" /> The Saiga is out as well as the AK rifle then.

The wife gave me my present tonight. When we got married I had a cheap band and it was a big ring to fit over my knucke. Over time I lost weight to the point that the ring would slip off my finger at times like while working or whatever. Somewhere along the line I lost the ring working around the house. Well, this New Years Eve will be our 10 year anniversery so she got me a gold band with some small diamonds in it. I am not a big diamond person but the smaller row looks good in my opinion. I am a lucky guy that she puts up with me.

I got her a set of diamond ear rings. About 5 years ago her step brother moved in with us while he was going through a divorce. He had a couple friends that were less than desirable in my opinion. Anyway, one day the wife's jewelry box was gone, a beat down from me got it out of him that he needed some money for drugs but knew better than to take my guns (they were locked up anyway). We could not get any of the jewelry back, some of it went back to her great great grandmother. Needless to say, when he comes to the family get togethers he stays clear of me and I stay clear from him. All we were trying to do was help him out and it came back to bite us in the [censored].

We are snowed in tonight. All roads and highways are closed down. Basically OK is not prepaired for snow blizzards. No real plows, limited sand, stuff like that. There have been quite a few deaths due to the situation. Here is a link that a friend of mine took while he was driving his 4 wheel tractor to help people get unstuck--about 15 minutes outside of OKC. There are a lot of other videos showing places in OK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geW2_LKEYgk

Has anyone used one of these Swiss Volcano Stoves? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdmBl95rhLoI picked up a double pack for 10 bucks at a local surplus store. I think I am going to like them, Lighter weight than a Kelty and cheaper. The nice thing is they fit in the side pocket of the Maxped and Chinese knock off Jumbo Fat Boy pack.

I have a HG55 that I traded for used. It is the CG model and the previous owner stripped the blade down to the gray base coat finish. I love the color of the handles as it is the green/black combo. The previous owner started to convex the edge but I can not do anything with it by hand convexing so I am thinking of sending it to NoCal for some work. A convex, strip and refinish, and the use of screw instead of the hollow bosters--that way I can take them off and clean when needed. I know the HG55 is either loved or hated. To me it is a great length bowie type blade that has several applications. For me it is more of a fighter but cutting, cleaning, and light chopping should be good to go. Price I am into it even with the work from NoCal will be about the same price as what a CG HG55 went for new. I do believe that this blade will have to ride in a kydek attached to the back pack shoulder strap or on the Jumbo Fat Boy.

With all this snow and cold weather I want to take a rifle out, walk some woods, have the pack with cold weather gear, set up a fire, reflect, and enjoy it. Problem is I know the wife's Malibu won't make it out to the woods and living in te city I might draw some attention walking with a SKS, AK, AR, or M1A.

I know Jackell is about 45 minutes north of me and they got it bad too. Unfortunately he doesn't have internet access at home. My cell phone is dead, charger at school and too cold for me to sit in the car and use the car charger.
I live about 5 miles from Will Rogers International Airport and it is totally closed. Last I heard the official depth there is over 11 1/2" of snow. Looks like tomorrow morning Christmas deals will be a no go too. Ground temp is below 30, and has been for a few days. So even if we see sun it will melt a little then turn to ice--that is what I hate the most. Well, unless the ice is in tea or in bourbon, whiskey, or scotch.
