yeah. it's a little grimey. the previous owner obviously got little use, but it's not clean, there's wear on the snap, the nylon is softened, the black coat has some pocket gunk, and the tools move smoothly.

i'm not gonna bother sending it back, i only lost about $10.

It amazes me how some people who sell some things on ebay or other forums, how they can't even wipe them down and clean them up a little bit before selling them. The item might even look newer and they might get a couple bucks more for it. I bought some things in the past on ebay that were dirty and grimy.

evening, men!!

I picked up a nikon D5000, and a SOG power plier. Both sweet!!!

I can't put the SOG down.

I finally finished the knife and sheath that is shipping out with my brother-in-law to Afghanistan. I ended up with a belt loop and a secondary lashing point near the tip of the blade on the sheath. Hopefully this will serve him well. The sheath is drying from the aqueous wax that i just put on it. When it dries, I'll put up some pictures. I definitely want to keep this one. I practiced with it before I coated it, and it out chops my CW. The extra 1.5" of blade definitely give it an advantage.

Those sog power pliers are awesome - you can get some serious grip with the gears. Not the best ergonomics, but very cool multitools.

Funny story... I got an email today from one of my potential job opportunities, and was informed that the pay is "extremely low" for my qualifications...

It pays $5000 a year more than my current job. Guess that says a lot about what I'm doing now.

i'm partial to the old gerber multipliers, even with the hand pinch flaw.

I've wanted the SOG multitool since the mid 90's, but never had a need (and still don't - but I got it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)

I really want to pick up one of the Gerber Crucial. It's a nice and compact tool to keep in a pocket or pack as a spare. I only carry my larger multitools when I expect to use them, or have a belt on.

yeah, me too. The negative reviews of the Crucial have made me hesitant though.

hey everyone!

just put an order through for the zombie tarp hat, i was going to hold out but they jump up $10 after tomorrow, $30 isn't bad for something that's going to see a lot of use.
