Its been quite a few years but when I was last in Montana (up at Big Sky in the summer) I hired a guide with a drift boat to take me down the Madison. Caught a couple real nice fish but it was just as much fun to enjoy the drift and see the sights.

The country and nature bring back sanity. My favorite response to people who question where I live: Civilization is overrated. It sure is. Or, at least what passes for civilization nowadays-- some metrosexual, technogeek, pseudo-intellectual, mass consumerist, pop cultural noise that numbs the senses and clutters the mind. The further away from it I can get, the better I feel and the clearer I think. I hear you both!! Tht is the way to live!

I need to get out more. I haven't done anything like that for a while... did do some great Walleye fishing on Lake Erie this last summer though w/ mu uncle on his boat...
