I lurk from time to time. Some other forums get real nasty when you barge into their elitist conversations.

i'm more irritated by the profiteers who turn around and mark up these knives. the whole point was that people could get a great knife at a low price and you're buyin em all up before they do and serving yourself. just doesn't feel right.

Does Scrap Yard do any custom blades? Or is the LEs as far as they go?

Busse Combat does, but I don't know how. Do they really bribe Jerry Busse with Johnny Walker Blue and then plunk down a grand for a custom Steel Heart?

That would never happen here!!

I felt the same way about the Busse forum on BF - I don't post there a lot, but haven't had any bad experiences when I do.

Then again, I DO own INFI!

Elitist would be about the last adjective I would apply to our conversations, LOL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I agree 100%. I think that they buying limit should be like 3 - hard to justify needed more than that per person - would cut down on those trying to profit off of Dan's generous low priced offerings... Any more than 3 should require approval from Dan or Patti after a legit excuse.

i dunno about that, kraz, infidels and yard dogs are pretty hardcore about elite cutlery. course, our conversations here are so rarely knife related so you're pretty much right.

And I think Jerry charges like $100 per inch (to include the handle). Maybe someday I'll do one up!

Anyways, I haven't heard of any SY customs, but maybe Dan would be open to some during a slow season... he's been busy pushing knives out towards us now though - so I doubt he's got any time!
