well wooo i spent the morning at the auto store picking up cables and inverters... i now have a simi portable solar generator set up and charging with 200ah of storage ... so i hope it charges up right , im now having to go back and redesign a better hook up and enclosure and wires hehe looks like another order comming up next month.....

hehehe its kinda awsome making my own power ... even if its just a couple lights worth and a computer

Will they let you postpone the duty until you are on summer break? I know in OK you can go in front of a judge the Friday before your week and request a extension, etc.

don't sweat it, more than likely you'll be in the jury pool until a little after lunch and then be dissmissed. then you have 4 years of freedom on your hands before they can call you again.

i got the lucky social security number cause i've been called four times. 1st time i got out of it cause i didn't live in the county at the time i was called. 2nd time i didn't even get to answer any questions cause they filled the jury before they got to me. and the fourt time was the same, made it to lunch, came back, and they filled all the jury seats.

the third time i was juror number 12 on a captial murder trial, that lasted for 3 days. though obiously gulity we had to aquit the piece of scum casue the triple murder he was accused of doing was three years old( he was on the run the whole time and got busted on a drug charge in dc, and sent back to nc for trial), and all of the prosecution's witnesses contradicted each other and decided to not to snitch, on the guy. man that left a sick feeling in the gut.

My only experience was called during a bad time. It was the week of j. high wrestling state tournament and our confrence. I asked the judge for a extension but he asked if I had an assistant coach, which I did. Well I was there. I ended up being in a pool for a murder trial. Needless to say, one side wanted me because I was true in my answers and the other side didn't. Both played on me as a teacher and being soft--there were 4 teachers that started in the pool and I was the only one they kept. Very interesting and glad I got to see how the system works. Our guy was found guilty for manslaughter because he killed a friend, hurt another, and made himself a mental headcase because of a stolen car and being strung out on drugs--wrapped a car around a tree at 100 miles an hr. It was amazing any of them lived.
