Jrod, surely you don't mean one of the great Survival knives with the compass in the butt, FULL survival kit in the hollow handle, a bottle opener on the spine along with saw teeth!

Now a Recon, that would be My idea (blade size/weight) as a good mid size chopper. I've looked into one, but not sure about the new steel he's using. Ok not the steel, the Heat treat.

Randy - at Blade 08' we went to get a Coke at the back of the show and ended up sitting next to Lynn Thompson. I asked him how the new steel - SK5 - compares to the old Carbon V. Lynn flat-out said that it's not as good as the Carbon V, not even taking the heat treating into account! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I've got the Mini Tanto, Recon Tanto, SRK, Bush Ranger and a Vaquero Grande folder (with a 6 inch blade)! Like them all.
