I second that, but a small yard also sucks. I live so close to my neighbors that even if I whisper in my backyard I know my neighbors can hear me. I let my dog (Doberman) out to take care of his business several times a day, and he barks a little bit. He really doesn't bark much because I let him in before it becomes annoying. The law showed up to my door one day and said they got a complaint of incessant barking. He wouldn't tell me who it was, and since no one had ever come to my house to complain he didn't issue a citation. I can't tell you how much this irritates me. I think it was the person who lives behind me, she has a small child and maybe my dog woke her baby up. It was in the middle of the day for crying out loud!

I grew up in the boonies in California (don't laugh, it's true) and this city living is hard to get used to. Don't know if I'll ever get used to it.

I just watched my local news, this guy was walking his dog when it was getting attacked by a mountain lion. He ran to his house and grabbed his sword and gave it a few good whacks before it ran off. Going to hang on to my Waki close!
