I've decided against the Panasonic and am going for a Nikon. I'd rather focus on the stills and leave the video to a proper video camera.

I agree about stills. Video is interesting, but it's fundamentally a different medium, even if there are similarities and overlap.

I agree. I'm hoping what I learn studying photography will up my skills in videography. Should be a fun process. I'm lucky to know a good handful of photographers who are nice enough to help me out from time to time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
