Looking forward to something today, tomorrow or Thursday before 4:00. I am leaving Thursday evening for Chicago. Me and my uncle are driving up there to get my brother and his stuff. My brother has decided it is time to come home and spend some time with my parents since their health is not great and my dad is going down hill pretty fast. I get to spend my birthday Friday morning on the road but be sure I will make that boy buy me a round in Chi-Town.

Fun times, class getting ready to start and I need to get some mid-term stuff done. I will check back in through the day to see if there is any news.

WOW!!! Looks like I signed off to quick last night. The Yard really got started it seems. Oh well Read all the posts and you guys ROCK. 5 or 6 pages since 2230 last night! Pat yourselves on the back and buy a new toy when Dan is able to get it up on the site.

Raining here in Eugene also. Tonight is the first UO baseball game at the newly completed PK Park. They made a great choice using field turff instead of grass.

Don't know how much I am gonna be on here (during the day) for the next few days. The wife and I are on a mission.

This family (the 3 girls 9-15 years old) had a house they were trying to buy burn to the ground last week. The owner had dropped the insurance and they either did not know it or couldn't afford it. Single mother and her boyfriend both work, but not at real good paying jobs.

Anyway, my wife came up with this idea of having a benefit bean dinner. And it just snowballed from there. We now want to have a Benefit bean dinner, auction, bakesale and singing at the church for them. I contacted a local paper (that I send news releases to every night from work) and they are gonna email us pictures they took of the fire. The wife and I plan on making flyers with the girls pictures along with the fire scene. And the ONLY thing they saved was the clothing they had on. EVERYTHING else as lost.

Norine (the paper lady) said to see about opening an account at a bank so people could donate there. That many times people will do that instead of attending an event.

Please pray and send your well wishes for the success for these nice kids and their mom/boyfriend. Even though Mom and boyfriend don't attend our church, they are nice folks and are trying the best that they can. If this sounds like I am saying that since they don't go to church they are not deserving and not nice people, IAM NOT SAYING THAT. ALL I am saying is that we personally know about this because of the girls.
