Kind of strange –

When I took that picture, I was just dying inside. My (ex) fiancée had just suddenly ripped my heart out and stomped on it. I was seriously messed up.

And yet, it didn't seem to negatively impact my ability to shoot, at all.

The mark of a true professional! Not letting emotions interfere with "the job".

Actually, I was a little ashamed to send them, considering the quality of your pictures. But then I said what the heck, they're the best I could do and we like them.

I want to go back and shoot that same tree, same position, by starlight.

isnt that crazy how that works, i mean that picture is amazing but the objects and the whole feel of that picture kinda describes how you were feeling at that time. thats how i feel about it.

me being a musician ive written my best songs while in the dumps or when my heart was in pieces.

i think sometimes emotions do play a role in our work, but its up to the person on whether it is in a negative way or a positive way. obviously its positive in your case evolute.
