Hi Guys- back from a long weekend and home for a few and then back out for yet another extended one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />. WOW- got home after ordering the Regs and saw the Swamp had released <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />.I first ordered like 10 knives and then my wife chimed in and said to buy more for presents <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />. So-I changed the order so many times that finally I couldn't decide and just canned the order for now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />. I just ordered the Regs and don't really need more steel with the knife show coming up in April.Oh well- decisions- decisions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I do too. As I said, I don't think he had any bad intent at all. But this is a manufacturer's forum. A deal spotting thread for other vendors does not seem appropriate. I saw it as a violation of the spirit, if not the letter, of rule #4. Now it is spelled out plainly. It seems that somberbear's feelings may have been hurt, but that is not what I wanted to do. We all make mistakes. Look at some of the old threads where I would just talk about a new knife that was not even made by the Busses. Then Dan would remind us that this is not appropriate. After I thought about it, I realized that Dan was right. So the forum is still stuck with me. I hope somberbear will stay with us. We all enjoy his company and posts.

I have done the same Vic. I think maybe everyone is a bit " touchy" right now .And to top it off- now they are overwhelmed with steel. But- that is a good thing !! I am kinda wondering when the Regs will be haeded out. I received an email from Renee saying my discount will be applied when orde is shipped. I am also wondering if I order the Swmap steel how long it will actually take ? Thanks

Ordawg, This is what Eric put in my confirmation email: "I'll contact you in 3-4 weeks when your order is ready to ship."

Of course we all know what <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/2weeks.gif" alt="" /> means in Bussekin time so that is just an estimate <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm guessing the regulators will come out pretty quickly. I'm hoping the SRKW's will be close to the 3-4 weeks. I really want to put these blades into use this spring. I still have to build some sheaths for all of them. I am debating trying my hand at bending somem kydex in addition to the leather sheaths.

But it all takes time. The better the weather, the less time I seem to have.

I think Vic did a great job of pointing out what " deal spotting" is. You can still say " Hey-I got this great deal on a Cobra Pack" ( not real)-you just don't add a link or price. You can put a picture I believe ? We have all been guilty of wanting to share great qualty products with friends. This is very nice- i think just a bit of guiding on " how" to say it gets it done( done by Vic alraedy). That way there are no hurt feelings and everybody wins.Maybe put it in a thread on main board and make it a sticky.I know it is in the rules- might just clarify. i'll shut up now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

Whats up guys. Stopping by for a minute and back to work. I understand the deal spotting being put to an end. However, most of us have an email or PM so if we are really interested in an item why not go that route?
