Triclorethane isn't a caustic cleaner but it does a number on you without pain or irritation.

In college I worked with a lot of fiberglass resins for a sculpture class. I used them right in my dorm room. Probably did more damage to my dorm mates then any drugs they used.
I'm suprised I didn't get kicked out. Everyone complained.

worse is doing polyurethane coating in small rooms with no ventilation, that stuff will sneak up on you,

Did the hazmat thing for 5 years. Way too much exposure for my tastes. I am picky about everything and use respirators and gloves when handling most chemicals now.
