i dont have a rifle yet and i would like something with a bigger bullet that can reach out put stuff down. i've been wanting .308 but everything i want seems to be out of reach price wise. still leaning towards a fnar if the funds are ever there.

Look at a FN Patrol bolt rifle. Good price and in available in 308. Designed to exactly what you want - reach out there and put stuff down.

I've seen them for sale around the $600 mark.

i have been looking at the pbr as well but the fnar seems to be the one. im selling off a little bit of gear and if i can kick this busse blade fit im having i may have enough left to start thinking about a rifle again.

Yes - the FNAR is a good piece of kit.
