I do barter, sometimes.
Generally, I get a fair deal, or a deal in my favor.

Over time, one learns the value of one's work, learns that it's sometimes better to leave a deal on the table, and one becomes a more hard-nosed businessman about such things.

that's what im thinking about evo. value of the services that i offer.... enough about that stuff though.
i really think instead of buying knives and gear i may need to take a real vacation. i mean go somewhere that nothing about my work can come up and just enjoy life before getting consumed by it all again.

That sounds nice. I hope it rejuvenates you.
In my field, there's no such thing as a vacation where nothing about work can come up, however, there are times when you just choose to put the camera down or leave it behind.
Yeah, knives are nice, but they do not substitute for vacation. Go out and live to the fullest.
