If you don't mind doing a little finishing, the Windlass Bowies are quite nice for the price. The steel is pretty good. They are made in India, though.

Awhile back I picked up a Quama from Atlanta Cutlery.
So, how do you like it? The Qama is much like the Gladius.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

The handle took a little getting used to because the rivits stick up quite high.

But I actually liked it. It's not designed for prying and probably no where as tough as a DF it's Ok for the price.

The steel is pretty soft so the belt grinder will get quite a work out if you use it alot

Mail testing? Oh, you mean chain mail. I was thinking of envelopes and such.

After the postman hit our stone mailbox I would've tested it on him.

As I've always made very clear, I don't like cheap beer.

But that doesn't mean that I won't drink on if its given to me.

So I decided to kill this Miller Light "Horn Dog" style.

I'm Vic's protoge.

I sharpened a big old Musso-style Windlass Bowie on it today. That thing will shave!

I've heard Lite beer causes anger issues in some people.
