You can't go wrong with a Swiss Army watch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I was going to suggest my watch (Casio Wave Ceptor) until I saw the last sentence...Before I got it, I was thinking about a Casio Pathfinder. But, they're pretty bulky, & my #1 requirement was accurate time. The one I bought instead keeps excellent time, and calibrates itself with the atomic clock every 24 hours.

+1 with Andy- I have a Casio G-shock solar waveceptor ani/digi watch, tough as hell and it looks kind of cool.. Casio have just brought out chrono style versions which I am currently considering too (it's nice to have options watch wise just like knife wise!!). I've only ever had one duff Casio (out of lots..) and that was refunded (out of warranty period!) and Casio sent me a nice rucksack by way of an apology...

If you are not needing something super tough like the G-Shocks, etc, then the Seiko 5 line have excellent value for money and some are quite classy. Fully automatic movements, date and day. I have 2 of them for everyday use.

The link below lists a whole heap of Seiko 5 variants in USD:

That is what came immediately to mind; if anything else pops into it (my mind, that is) I might edit this post or reply again?

Hope that was of some help.

Well, mine's not a G-shock. But it's held up very well for a $30 watch. Several times I've bumped the face against something hard, thinking for sure it would be scratched, but it was always fine. Here's mine:

I got it for $30 at Walmart.

There's always this watch from Wilson Tactical...and you have some extra para cord if you ever needed it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I'm thinking of grabbing one for my hiking watch.

Good luck on your quest for a watch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I stopped wearing them myself and have never regretted it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
