However, I currently only own one "Small" (sub 6") Hog blade and it is in that picture - But, not including the larger than 6" bladed SJTAC and Skinny ASH - flat on the left.
Unfortunately, IMO, the "Hog" knives are mostly ruined for my preferences by their non-functional choils. The only sub 6" bladed "Hog" I own or honestly really currently care to own is the SAR5 which is on the left and still has it's "coating". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> - I do intend to strip the SAR5, but I also want to make significant handle modifications to it and am waiting till I get a new belt sander. So, the SAR5 sits as a queen till then. I have ZERO interest in "Using" a coated blade - "Especially" on a smaller blade that I want to "Cut" with. A coated chopper might be OK at first - But, just to mess around with prior to stripping.... As ALL of my users WILL be satin. If I don't justify taking the time to (at least eventually) strip it, I don't justify buying or keeping. Anyway, I think the SAR5 will be an EXCELLENT knife once stripped and some handle mods are made. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> ... same with the S5CG, SS4, RMD, HRLM and a few other CG blades that SHOULD have been released in satin. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Aside from the SAR5, which was actually released at a "reasonable" price IMO for a knife of it's size and materials, I generally find most Busse/INFI smaller knives over-priced - "Especially" if I have to make "Significant" mods to make it how I want it. If I am going to pay INFI prices, I want to receive a knife pretty darn close to my views for perfection in a knife. I am optimistic that it will happen someday. But, as is, the SAR5 is the only smaller "Hog" that justifies being in my possession - even if it needs stripped and significant handle mods. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> - I will get to the SAR5 some day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

The only other coated blades in the picture are my "Extra" G10 RMD. My user RMD is micarta and stripped. And my Skinny Ash in G10. I don't personally like the high contrast two-toned color of the G10 scales on my Skinny ASH.... Long story how I accidentally purchased this color. But, short explanation: Skunk's in and out of inventory system made me panic when all micarta's were gone and I "panic" purchased the G10 thinking I would miss out. After I ordered and a few days later, Skunk re-stocked more micartas. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> So, I paid about $40 more for something I like a lot less. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
I would MUCH rather have micarta. Anyone have a brown micarta Skinny ASH they want to work out some trade details for an "Upgraded" G10 Skinny ASH? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Actually, I honestly could care less about "LE". I just like satin. And honestly, I would just assume have satin without the numbers if it saved me $10 - $50 or so...... or in the case for most Busse LE's $200 - $330. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
