 Floating Logo?

My S5s came in this past week. The gray bladed and black handled one will be for my son (3 months, 10 days old). I have taken the moss green bladed one for myself. It also has the black handle.
I noticed something odd about it upon close inspection. It seems that the moss green is somewhat transparent, or is it translucent?. Looking closely at the blade and turning the knife some of the 'holes' shift in relationship to the logo. It looks kind of like there is a top clear coat that the logo was stamped onto. Has anyone else noticed this?
Awesome blades, I like them way better then the RMD.

All my coated scrappers have had the logo etched all the way through the coating.. I've never had a mossy though...

Mmmmm... Interesting observation, I'll have to look closer at mine when I get home from work and see, I'm curious now.

Yeah a lot of my logos aren't very clear. Some of them seem to only go through the coating in some places, but not in others.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of that snarling dog face on my knives, so I don't mind the logos being hard to see.

It's very hard to clearly see my logo on the gr/bl. Just an observation. I have to agree with that. It took a while to even spot it the first time I took it out of the inspection sleeve. The logos are perfect on both of the s5s I received. It just floats on the moss green one, or seems to at least. It could be too much time off and too many pain killers.

I have always felt the same way just didn't want to say anything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />. I know some really like the numbers on their steel etc - but no biggie to me. At first I told myself that I wanted all new releases with my JYD #- but after I received my Muk I could barely see the #. After that I didn't really care anymore and now I just enjoy the knife for the quality <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. I surely hope Dan comes out with the S5LE in INFI- 154 and 101. Don't care if they are sterile- just would make one hell of a nice knife in LE <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.
