Howdy from Texas Rob! I too am a new guy around here. I got my Scrapper last week and started wearing it around the house but my wife made me stop wearing it to bed.

Here's to new guys with new knives!

LOL on going to bed with your steel...Patti just stopped complaining after all the years

Welcome to the Yard

Here is a late welcome to the Yard. I love this place, this is my home away from home. Get ready, the Yard is very addictive just not because of the steel but this is the greatest group of guys that I have got to know over the net. Oh yeah, congrats on the S5, mine is growing on me more each day and I got a sheath today that can be carried.

Dan, my wife gave up a long time ago too on me keeping steel around the bed. Funny thing now she knows where it is and doesn't mind using it LOL.

Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

thanks for the welcome. maybe one of these days ill make it up to the big dogs. I I figured I should share another passion and well job. got some time to play around in the shop.

You're a glassblower? Awesome! Do you have more pics of your work? I have a glass collection. I need to take some pics to post sometime. I thought about doing it in the past, but I didn't think anyone here would probably be interested. Locally here there is a yearly "Elwood Glass Festival" where local glass makers show & sell their work. What kind of glass work do you do? Just paperweights?

Another kind of glass I collect is antique medicine bottles...

marbles, jewelry, sci glass work, a few custom things. i kinda of range over the glass area. but I'm also trying to get my metal shop in line so i can work on some projects in that area. i have a few pictures but its mainly these. i stopped working on my portfolio a few years ago. and now trying to rebuild it. i don't go to big due to the style i work in. but so far i just go where the passion takes me or the work and it sells. can't ask for more. ill post something up now and then. i have been working on my web page and now that my glass shop is almost done from a move hopefuly ill have time.

during the summer i kinda take it easy due to heat so here i am. lol indulging in another passion while i wait for cooler breezes.

and thanks every one for the welcome.

+1 on more pics. That is a cool hobby/business. Wish I could find something to make money on, instead of it always going out.

yea ill try to post some more pics of my side projects, in summer i don't work as much cause of the heat and humidity. so i got a little time to take pictures. in winter and fall i get to busy. here is some little newer stuff. trying to make more little things that people can pick up cheaply. but the change in scale kinda messed with me. but its getting there.
