I'm pretty new here and wanted to know how the Scrapper 6 measures up against other knives in this blade length, Bussekin included.
Thanks dogs This describes the Scrapper 6 perfectly <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> 9/10 shocks point from me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

there was a cheap one up the other day...I was surprised it hung around!
How does this sucker chop? Can't do as well as a CT or SOD, correct?

If your primary purpose is chopping don't buy a 6" bladed knife, period. As others have stated the strength of the S6 is that it is a "do anything" knife. You can handle tasks as diverse as prepping food or cutting tent stakes yet still press it into service chopping wood where it will do a credible job as WD stated.
It's a terrific knife to hike with because it is relatively light despite its size and yet retains a wonderful balance in the hand.

The S6 is the Holy Grail of the Yard & I own one! Best 6" blade out there! Welcome to the Yard (from across the Pond!) : ) JB +1 to Bob! Got INFI the same size as my S6. My S6 is beat up, the INFI is pretty much pristine. To me coated sr77 makes so much more sense than INFI, just as tough, but less edge holding (not by too much in my experience) and less corrosion resistance (by a fair margin) than INFI. But here's the point, coated sr77 has a coated tang so it won't rust under the handle. You satin the blade yourself, save stupid ammounts of money over INFI and have a unique personal knife that's all your own! My S6 would be the last knife of mine to go. 3 INFI blades would go first...

Hope we see another 'special' run of S6's(with SR-77, SR101 & INFI <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> ) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
