Surprisingly, this was in the paper here recently:

Teen kills alligator discovered in river

Rensselaer -- Conservation officers say a Northwest Indiana teenager shot and killed an alligator about 6 feet long that he and a friend found in the Iroquois River in Jasper County.

Zach Ramsey, 17, and Casey Sonaty, 14, spotted the reptile Sunday while fishing and spearing frogs along the river near Rensselaer.

Officers say the rural Newton County boys couldn't kill the gator with a fishing arrow or frog spears, so they went and got a 12-gauge shotgun, and Ramsey shot it.

Officers say the alligator weighed about 150 pounds.

Alligators are not a game species in Indiana, so shooting it broke no laws.

Matching holster, sheath, belt out of Gator. Perfect. Is that legal?

Yes. I have a crocodile wallet. (Along with a Cobra & Stingray wallet)

That's a cool angle on the photo of the gator. You can see how much size/muscle mass is in the tail.

Critters like that give me the heeby jeebies...something about reptiles...

I like having them around...I'm sure eventually someone with kids will report them to get them removed...But until then I'm okay with the gators.:)

7000+ <-- That's a lot of gators. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Highest gator population (count) in a Florida lake is Lake Hancock near Lakeland...

Did any one happen to watch a recent Monster Quest where they found a 16-18' croc in the Everglades. That thing was one scary beast!
