I was talking to a friend about trying my hand at making a knife and he said he was going to show me a knife he had made years ago. This is what he bought in: ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/RICOSLIM/022.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/RICOSLIM/021.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/RICOSLIM/020.jpg) I just thought this was cool and wanted to share it with you guys. Were all knife lovers and i hadnt seen anything like this before. Kinda looks like this Busse knife ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/RICOSLIM/busse01sm.jpg)

Wow, sweet. I've never seen a bone knife made of gator jaw before!

Different but looks like it would work, but not the pry ability of a BUSSEKIN.
Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

Interesting Dan I'm not shure what you mean about a tooth in the back and front. There are only teeth on one side and were plugged into the sockets of the jaw. They are not the same teeth that came from the jaw however. And no it definately does not have the useability of a Busse or and other steel knife for that matter. It's mostly just ornamental.

That is surely an interesting knife, but I have not yet heard any stories of Jerry or Dan getting in large shipments of gator jaws. Even a cheap knife of 420J2 would be vastly superior to a bone knife.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Bone may not better than steel, but it's better than nothing.
I've got some deer bones that I was going to play with some time soon, but nothing big enough to make a good hand-filling knife.
