Holy schlamolie that looks awesome. Is the edge still thick enough to chop down trees/zombies/vampires?

Yes, it compares to a good axe profile, so it should be good to go.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

That thing is wicked Vic! I love it!

No joke, you need pictures of you skinning a squirrel, or cooking dinner, cutting up lunch, or some other task justified by that scary sharp edge!

Well I could skin a squirrel with it, but it would be awkward. It would be great for beheading them with style. For now, just to show that this is no delicate edge, check this out:

There was some kind of brown liquid goo in the middle of the tree. I wiped it off with some Spanish Moss so you can see that the edge is just fine.

Then I did a little more chopping on the block and checked the edge. Stained, but completely undamaged. The straight narrow blade is not as effecient on the chopping block as it is on free standing stuff.

I really like this blade and am learning how to use it better. For slashing, I hold it in one hand up near the quillion and let the long handle act as a counter weight as I rotate the sword in my hand during the swing. This is a fun sword.

I caved and sent the email. I hope you're happy, HornDog, it was your pics of playing with it that sealed the deal.

Vic seems to have that effect. His NMSFNO pictures were what finally drove me to pull the trigger and get one.

Well, of course I am happy, lukecubed. I just wanted to share my joy with the yard. You'll be happy with the Waki, too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

It bites deeper, and slashes vegetation much better, but the Waki is not really a chopper. The blade design and shape just aren't right for a chopper. It can chop, but it is a sword, not a bolo machete or Panga. The fact that it can chop down trees is amazing for a short sword. It is sure tough. I am pretty sure that my FFBM can out chop it.
