Man I want one, but I'm on the fence with the price... After exchange, shipping and taxes at the border my $100 Muk ended up being $200, so a $279 S5 might end up being quite a bit more by the time it gets to Canada...

For perspective, the CG tank buster, at 6 inches long with thicker INFI, micarta slabs, and an overall beefier design with a lot more steel, is only $287. The SS4 was $140, so I'm hoping for $160 or less for the S5. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> Okay. The Combat Grade SS4 was $140.00. The Combat Grade Tank Buster is $287.00. Based on those percentages and the fact that the Limited Edition Tank Buster is $497.00, a Limited Edition SS4 would have cost approx. $242.50. I am guessing an inflation adjusted price of $179.95. Yep. That sounds about right. While the blade is polished INFI, the mudder grips should keep the price under $200. Those micarta scales add a bunch to the price of a knife.

I remember when the S5CG was coming out, a bunch of people were speculating that it would cost over a hundred bucks, due to the use of SR-101. I remember some folks guessing as much as 150 bucks for the CG... I'm guessing around $200. Price points need to be the same between SY and Busse when using the same steel, so the only thing dropping the price will be the mudder res-c handles. Not sure how much that will drop the price but my guess is the S5LE will go for around $200. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I'm in for one regardless.
