What are people going to do about sheaths for their knife? Group Buy? Does Scrap Yard usually follow up with a sheath to sell?

I was wondering about a sheath as well. I have been trying to make my own lately but I would like to try out one of the David Brown sheaths. I see that he makes them for the s5cg. Would it be safe to assume that that same sheath will fit this one?

From the picture it looks like the same knife with the same grind but just different steel. You can't say for sure until we get it tho... unless Dan steps in and tell us before that .

This is my rifle, and that is my SHTF Busse knife.

I bought a used S5CG just to snag the kydex sheath that came with it, then traded the knife. So hopefully I am set unless the blade/handle design is off.

I was thinking of leather for this knife. Any interest in approaching one of the better makers for a group buy? I have a Sharpshooter sheath that came with my Ranger EDC. It is a great piece of work. They make Kydex as well, I wonder what they would charge for a group order of both?

The dimensions would not be far off from the loveless style sheaths that Sharpshooter makes for the Bravo 1. I think something like that would be kinda cool for these. I have never held one of the res c handled knives so I dont know how sticky it is. Maybe it would hang up to much in leather.
I also have another question being new to the hog, rat, dog program.
This knife will be an INFI blade. Is this going through the same heat treat as the other busse INFI knives. Or are they really made from old blanks out of the trash that have already been heat treated and are now being reground? I am very curious about the whole recycled thing.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone
Zach

If you've got the time and patience you can make your own kydex/concealex sheath. It took me about an hour to make a sheath for a Busse High Street, pancake style for a low signature. For the S5/S5LE I'm going to make a fold-over style. I got enough supplies to make six sheaths for about $50, including 100 rivets, the rivet tool and two nice clips. Its not as nice and professional as the sheath makers on the forums but it is cheap.
