I've heard of guys telling the wife the knife is more than just for multi tool for task or protection. But also for food prep and grilling. Have any of you used this excuse and actually use it for food prep, grilling, or such. Just wondering if it works or not.

I used that excuse for my Bog Dog years back. It worked, just that its been staying in the kitchen since I got the knife. It's hers now rather than "mine". A little price to pay I guess for using such excuse....

Yes, and they work very well. I have a few that are great kitchen/camp blades like the MUK, BDLE, and the S5.

Great to hear because the S5 will be in my hand shortly. Appreciate this info very much. Any SY knife in action in some pics with food would be awesome. I'll be in this clud soon even if my wallet does'nt like it!

It is OK- but one that is better is tell her the knife is a symbol of your love towards her . Then-buy her flowers - take her to dinner and give her money to go shopping. She will think you are a total moron- but the money for shopping ALWAYS works . A piece of advice from a guy that has been married 38 years !! Women read right through that- but they sure LOVE $$$ for shopping
