Dice that was a great response. Sorry for putting you on the spot, I am just being conversational. I am still thinking of e-mail Justin for some G-10 grips for my RD7. I've got some blue spacers on the way for my RD7 - I'm going to glue them up, profile them, and drill them myself. Justin is talking me through it. I'm sure he'd do the same for you.

I see the Mutt as a potential "Jack of All" type blade. Not too job specific but good at just about everything. Perhaps one of those "If I could only take one knife with me" deals. I can see that. I think I'd take the Dogfather or one of my other previously mentioned choppers if I could only have one - I'd rather do small work with a big knife than big work with a smaller knife - but as far as a tactical blade goes, it'll be the DM or my RD7.

I really like my Ontario RAT5 as well - probably my favorite of the Ontario RAT series... (although the RAT3 is an ideal EDC)

I sanded my RD7 stock tan micarta grips to be smoother & stained them red. I am in the process of removing the black coating. I love this knife, but it has no real use that I have found. May use it to cut steaks.

The Mutt looks just like the Buse Basic 5 which was the most popular of the Basic line. So that has me all worked up as well.

And I have no real use for the RD7 or the DM for that matter unless I get deployed - in which case I'll be taking both!

Dark Norseman we were all talking the other night in this forum about which classic Busse designs we want Dan to rip off and make in SR77 in the near future. I think the main three were: FBMSH, Hell Razor & AK.

the anticipation is making me giggle. I'm a little nervous this time because of the size of the Yard lately - gonna have to be fast! I hope Dan made a bunch of them...
