Hey Guys & Gals,

This might be a bush league question, but does Scrap Yard ever come out with any pocket/folding knives ?

Do Dan or Renee give hints as to the next knife to be released ? If can you share that info with the newbie ?

Since the 2-knives I just bought from Scrap & Busse are not for me I am in the market for a nice folding/pocket knife, an all around camp knife that I can use to skin critters with, a chopping knife I can use to clean brush off of my property and this is probably a stretch to ask for this but a filet knife. I usually do a couple fly in trips to fish in Canada and could sure use a filet knife that holds an edge for a long time.

No scrap yard folders yet. Perhaps one day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Cannot see this happening. But I hope it does!

Just go out & buy yourself a Strider SnG or SMF. Great folding knives that are hard to beat <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

338, it just rolls off the tongue.

Swamp Rat made a folder.. It looks really nice! You can find them sometimes on the bladeforums exchange.. Busse prototyped a folder, but nothing has come of it yet.. Scrap Yard has not made one yet, but i hope it happens..

From what I have seen/heard you can get at least one of the Busse folders right now! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

I like my Scrappers, especially the mudder handled ones, but there are already some superb folders on the market. I can't imagine Busse making folders that are substantially better than Benchmade, Spyderco, ZT, or the other good makers. It's what they do. Busse group does super rugged fixed blades better than anyone.

i have no doubt in the ability to make a folder.... but i think it would take a whole lotta work to try and out do some of the market names. Dan and Renee offer us some of the best fixed working blades on the markets. and i like that. if they do make one then sure hehe ill buy one or two.

At the risk of "auction spotting", someone is selling a prototype Busse Combat folder on eBay. They say that the model is called the Cubera; I've never heard of it before, but they say to contact Jerry to verify it's legit so I assume they have their ducks in a row. It has just under 9 days to go, and is already up to $900 with 30 bids -- it'll be interesting to see what it winds up going for (assuming that it's legit and doesn't get pulled).
