I believe the operative words in RS's post are "carry combo". For me, it's my Camp Tramp and my Leatherman PST.

Some of us must carry machetes just to get where we want to go.

Here are the two knives I carry most often: Comp. Finish Satin Jack Tac, and a Kershaw Rainbow Leek.

It would be ridiculous, but impressive. My real combo lately has been my SAK OHT and either my Bark River Mountain Man, SY Bird Dog, Mora 2000, and now my Scrapper 5. But often, I leave the fixed blades at home and just carry a big folder. A really big one.

Today I carried my SOD CG (fixed) and my Kershaw folding saw (folder ).

It ate through 5 inch logs no problem.

(Camera was out of batteries or I would have taken pics. )

My recent combo for tasks of all sizes has been my SR Battle Rat and RAT Cutlery RC-4. Covers everything I do in the great outdoors! Even for the smaller tasks I still love my full tang blades...

Lately I have been using my machete more than any other knife I own. We need a ScrapRuck!

My ideal combo for big knife and folder would have to be a DFLE and my Spyderco Mini Manix2.

Big knife small knife (non-folder) would be DFLE and S5. I really like my S5.

The one knife scenario would always be my grail knife, my Camp Tramp.

Cheers

Mini manix vs manix 2 vs mini manix 2? Is there a mini manix 2?
