I snagged a CGDM and am looking for a snug Kydex sheath (don't need any more TekLok's) - would prefer one that's secure but with not TOO high a lip

Suggestions...?

THANKS!

I would recommend contacting one of the sheath makers on the forum such as Rainwalker&David Brown they will work with you. If you dont want a tekloc then I would suggest a Drop Loop attachment of some sort thus it will ride alot lower.

I had Rainwalker make a Kydex sheath for my DM a couple years ago and did a great job.

I've seen David Browns sheaths and they look great too!!!

You can't go wrong with either of them.

Rainwalker does most of my kydex for me, although I do have some Mashed Cat, and Leatherface (Dave) ones. I don't care for TekLoks so Jeff does belt loops on mine. Sometimes I get lucky. The Cordura that came with my Buck Strider Solution fits all my Mutts just fine.

I'm not a big fan of the Tek loc because it rides too high.

Is there a dangler attachement for Kydex so the sheath is rides lower? If so that would be perfect.

Rainwalker made some sheaths for chickenplucker that were lower riding. They had an extended belt loop.

There are lots of dangler attachments for kydex - there are commercial ones that fit the same bolt spacing (1.5") that tekloks use, and it's easy to make your own from a scrap of leather or webbing.

I like the webbing options offered by both mashed cat and steelnut for drop leg carry, and it should be pretty easy to rig up your own version. I've got some kydex scraps from my sheath making attempts, and I will probably use those to make some drop loops as well.

With the ease of attaching things through the eyelet rivets used on kydex sheaths, it should be pretty straightforward to put whatever crazy attachment you can think of on there.
